Anyone who puts their eye to a viewfinder sees the world from their own perspective. It’s a notion I truly believe.

My name is Robert Pollock and I’m an American currently based in Saudi Arabia. Before coming overseas, I lived and worked in the States as a photographer and cinematographer. I have spent 35 years professionally in these areas. The past six years in Arabia have also taught me much from a personal point of view. Normal day-to-day activities considered fairly routine back in the States, take on new meaning over here – plus the language barrier (dealing with a multitude of nationalities), makes it difficult at times. As a result, I’ve developed more patience and understanding. I’ve met some amazing people from many different backgrounds and cultures...from Bedouin Arabs to Saudi Royalty, Australians, Europeans, Indian, Thai, and Palestinian – the list goes on and on. So many people from all walks of life and many have become dear friends. And the travel!! Dubai, Jordan, Oman, Korea, Japan, Scotland, Italy, Portugal...I still get such a kick out of this.

So mine is a point of view I’ve developed over the years in my professional work and life in general, and more recently from my experience overseas. I believe I now see many things in a whole new light and this, I’m sure, has influenced my photography. Through this web site and my photographs, I hope you’ll get to know who I am...what moves me...what touches my emotions...simply by browsing through these images.

This website is a new venture – so some of the layout etc., is temporary and will be improved. I invite you to come back frequently and see where my travels have taken me lately. I will be updating the site on a near-constant basis. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or comments. I welcome your input!
